The item pictured is not the item being sold. The item description and image is wrong on the web site and on the actual packaging. The actual item in the box has no led indicator light. I called customer service at Kensington and they are aware of the problem but have yet to resolve it. It has been "escalated" to have the description changed. The item is functional, but I purchased an item with a led indicator light because I wanted that feature, so I am disappointed. I paid for the item depicted and described, including the led power indicator feature, and that is not what I received. I did see one other review that said it had no led indicator light but I thought it was an individual mix-up, not a systemic problem. This is a clear failure of the Kensington quality department. They are knowingly manufacturing a different product (probably for a cost savings) and continuing to package and market it as the original design (maybe to use up a supply of existing packaging). They are aware of the problem, but dragging their feet to fix it. They have a 90-day money back guarantee, but require the buyer to send the item back at the buyer's cost. They are also aware that this policy is unfair to the consumer who has received a misrepresented item, and is required to return it at their own cost, and are recommending escalating that as well. Kensington products are manufactured in China were quality is of much less importance than cost, and customer satisfaction is of no importance. Having lived in China I can say that this is a classic example of the "cha bu da" (meaning "good enough") attitude. The customer service representative was however extremely polite while not resolving my issue to my satisfaction.

Newer phones can require more than the 700 mA that this device can provide. Many now require 1000 mA or even 1200 mA.

Nice unit if your phone required less than 750 mA

I'm coo coo for the "Kensington Mini Car Charger for Mobile Devices with USB Port" although when I ordered it I thought there'd be a little red LED power light on the face and there isn't. Still, this ranks relatively low on my rather extensive list of life's major disappointments, and the unit was surprisingly un-junkie in construction, and that makes up for the LED that may or may not have been included in the product description.

Received the home travel charger and car charger and tested the home charger with my daughters IPOD Touch 8gig 2nd gen and the Touch said the accessory was not compatible with this device and would not charge. I don't know if it's even worth returning.
