I purchased this hamster wheel for Zhu Zhu pets for my daughter’s hamsters. It was easy to assemble and add on to the main “house.” It is a lot of fun to watch the hamsters run into the tunnel and then run in the wheel. The only thing I find is that some of the hamsters (my daughter has Num Num, Mr. Squiggles, and Pipsqueak) fall over when in the wheel and must be “righted” before they can continue. After a while the hamsters sometimes do find their way out of the wheel and back into the tunnel that connects to the main house. With multiple hamsters sometimes Pipsqueak will be in the wheel and Mr. Squiggles will enter the tunnel causing a bit of a problem in the wheel which must be attended to before both hamsters fall over. My daughter really enjoys watching the pets run in the wheel and it doesn’t take up much space. Overall it’s great fun!

My daughter had been asking for a hamster since she’d seen the movie G-Force. It wasn’t happening since we already have a dog, cat and a fish. I’m tired. Anyway, I felt like this was the next best thing to getting another animal. after reading a lot of the reviews on this, I didn’t have high hopes for this, but we went on and bought it anyway, and boy I am glad we did. She loves it. We bought this at the same time we got our first zhu zhu pet and boy, I tell ya, this is really cute. No it is not the best piece of workmanship, but hey, it’s a toy, so I don’t take it very seriously. It took a few minutes to figure out how to get the connectors to lock into the tunnel, but I eventually got it and it fits very securely. It is really cute the way the zhu zhu scampers thru the rooms and tunnel while making all kinds of cute noises. We are very pleased with this. Sometimes the pet gets stuck in the tunnel or falls on his side, but again, that means you just need to sit it up again and it just takes off zipping around. I’d rather it sometimes get hung or fall over and require some intervention from my daughter than for her to sit and just watch while doing nothing. After all, that keeps her engaged and interacting with her new “hamster”.
The kids love this. It stays together much better than the other accessories and is easy for the hamsters to move about in. The one real problem I’ve seen with it is that the plug-in “doors” – white plastic plugs to keep the hamsters in the house – don’t stay put when the hamsters nudge against them. We’ve had several escapes but fortunately since these are robot hamsters, this hasn’t been a big problem. If anything, the escape attempts make the kids laugh. Still, the plugs don’t do the job they’re supposed to. The center tunnel is sturdy and doesn’t break apart very easily unlike the extension tunnels that come with the other add-on accessories. In all I’d say this is the best Zhu-Zhu Pets accessory I’ve seen.
This was a gift for my granddaughter’s 9th birthday to go with the Zhu Zhu pets I sent. She loves it.
I bought this at the height of the craze and paid way more than I should have. It is mildly amusing but doesn’t stay together very well. I wish I had saved my money and waited for the Easter Bunny to bring it instead of Santa! I could have gotten I much better deal!
This Zhu Zhu pet hamster wheel is very cute and fun for the kids. However, the durability and quality
of the plastic is not the greatest probably because it’s made in China.
My grandaughter is spoiled and usually gets what she wants. She is the first grandchild of course ! She takes very good care of her toys too though. She really enjoys these toys !
I got this and a bunch of other Zhu-Zhu hamster accessories for the kids for Christmas. It snapped onto the house all right and the hamsters can find their way into it just fine. However, once they’re in they can’t get back out without help due to the shape of the tunnel. It gets even worse when there’s more than one hamster in the hamster house. If there’s already a hamster on the wheel and another one tries to get on, the tunnel is way too long for the 2nd hamster to back out of. I’ve seen them try and they wind up backing up about halfway before the gears send them forward again. Meanwhile, the hamster on the wheel will keep trying to turn off but the ramp keeps them from getting out and they wind up running on the wheel again. The only way to get them off is by taking them off manually.

I bought the Zhu Zhu Pets for my seven year old granddaughter for Christmas, because she wanted them so badly! They were outrageously priced for the quality. I also purchased quite a few attachments with tunnels, etc. We worked together on the construction of the playground. If the hamsters go in the wrong direction at anytime, the tunnels fall apart very easily. We have to stop and put the pieces back together again. The clips are very flimsy!
My granddaughter and I played with them on Christmas and for the next couple of days. Up to her carpeted playroom they went (they do not work well on carpet!), and she has NOT played with them since Christmas! What a big waste of money! Never again! There is no educational value to these toys whatsoever! I DO NOT recommend!
I purchased this as a late xmas gift for my younger sister. She really enjoys it. I’ve played with the game as well. I did not find the game too entertaining. The main thing is it served its purpose to entertain my sister.
It is fun to adopt your own pet and then have it travel around and make new frieds. The graphics are really cute but not so that as a woman in 50’s cannot enjoy it to wind down at the end of the day.
I do mostly brain games so it is fun to play a bit after challenging the brain. I haven’t done the wifi feature yet but I may try it in the future.
There is nothing objectionable in the game so any child who can read could enjoy it. You do need to read the directions on the screen.
GoPets Vacation Island is an incredibly rich game featuring hours of entertainment for the price. With extensive item customization tools, online play, free downloads, and a variety of minigames, it has a huge number of activities to engage in. While a little complicated to figure out at first, and needing a slightly better tutorial in the beginning, it certainly makes up for those flaws with its sheer amount content.
This is a very fun game to play. You start out by getting interviewed to adopt a dog or cat (later on you can get a horse). You decide what color you want it to be, the design (spots, stripes), and its name. You can dress your pet and clean it (by putting it in the tub and using the stylus to make bubbles by rubbing). There are mini games in a different part of the island, and you need to unlock one, I haven’t yet. On wifi you can meet other peoples pets and make friends and chat. It is perfectly safe because you use pictures for words and only certain words have pictures for them. It gets a tiny bit boring when you just keep playing the same mini games, but you get a lot of motivation to get the biggest house and the most friends.
I would say “get the game!” but also, you might want to save your allowance so you can get 2 games in case you aren’t the type for this game.
My son enjoys Mr. Squiggles very much. I wish I had bought more accessories. this is the best kind of pet, no food no mess, and if it dies just put in another battery. I did pay too much but my son was promised the toy.
Well this was make her happy no matter what purchase during the Christmas rush when I could not be available to shop due to an emergency out of state! I found this one and another from the vendor which was in itself a miracle of sorts. Got one-and it arrived just in time; was impressed with shipping because I did not pay for the fast shipping! I was shocked by the total of over $[...] by the time all was totaled and found them at the check out at a WalGreens just before boarding the airplane for home for ALOT less; could of got three for what I paid for this one! But hey thats life sometimes
